GITP is dedicated to strengthening spatial planning, territorial management, and professional competencies through standards, assessment, and certification.
We bring together technical knowledge, innovation, and an international perspective to help build stronger institutions, better-prepared professionals, and territories equipped to respond to increasingly complex challenges.

Institutional and Territorial Certification
Our principles. How we work.
Our approach seeks to ensure that each process is technically consistent, transparent, and evidence-based, protecting confidence in the credentials and certifications of GITP.
The decisions are based in information, documentation and evidence that can be reviewed and verified.
We establish criteria and review processes to assess competencies, systems, instruments, and performance.
We promote independent decisions, consistent, and free from interference incompatible with the confidence of the process.
We encourage the upgrade of capabilities, standards and practices to respond to the evolution of the territories and its challenges.
We recognize skills, experience, and performance through professional development and assessment.
We strengthen institutional systems, instruments, and capabilities through technical criteria and evidence-based assessment.
We support better decisions in planning, governance, innovation, and territorial management through standards, applied knowledge, and assessment.
